DESCRIPTION (description)

Sulfadiazine usually has bactericidal effect on many Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, such as Corynebacterium, Escherichia coli, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Streptococcus. Sulfadiazine affects the synthesis of purine in bacteria, thus achieving antibacterial effect.

INDICATIONS

Can be used for treating gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract and genitourinary tract infections, mastitis and hoof coronitis caused by sulfadiazine-sensitive microorganisms (such as Corynebacterium, Escherichia coli, Fusobacterium necrophorum, Pasteurella, Salmonella and Streptococcus) in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and pigs.

Taboos (taboos)

Animals allergic to sulfonamides are prohibited.

Animals with severe liver and kidney dysfunction or blood diseases are prohibited.

SIDE EFFECTS (side effects)

An allergic reaction may occur.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Administration route: subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

Dosage: generally 3-6 ml per 10 kg body weight on the first day, and 3 ml per 10 kg body weight on the next 2-5 days.

WITHDRAWAL TIMES

Meat animals: 10 days.

Dairy animals: 4 days.
